Alex Bowman Grabs Pennzoil 400 Win After Late Race Caution Causes Overtime Finish In Las Vegas

After Kyle Busch looked as if victory was just a few laps away, a late race caution turned things upside down. Busch started 4th after pitting for an overtime finish with three Hendrick cars in front of him.

One of those Hendrick cars was Alex Bowman who took only two tires on his final pitstop. He battled last weeks winner, Kyle Larson over the past 2 laps but at the end of the day, Bowman stayed strong for the victory.

“This thing was so fast all day. Just never really had the track position we needed to show it,” Bowman told Fox Sports. “Man, what a call by Greg Ives and the guys to take two there. Obviously, it paid off.”

Bowman's win was the seventh of his NASCAR Cup Series career.
