Auto Club Speedway probably wasn't planning on breaking the budget for an unnecessary electric bill, but after multiple late race cautions and a red flag, the lights were needed to finish the Production Alliance 300.
After three overtime attempts, it was Cole Custer getting the win for Bobby Dotter’s SS Green Light Racing team.
“Yeah, it was awesome,” said Custer, a California native. “I could move around how I wanted to, and we got a little too loose one of those runs but we put it back and it was a rocket ship again. It is an honor to drive that kind of race car because you don’t get them too often.”
