For the 8th straight event, Brittany Force is the Top Fuel top qualifier at the DeWalt NHRA Carolina Nationals along with her father, John Force in Funny Car and Aaron Stanfield and Steve Johnson in Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
The performance puts Brittany Force at the top of the championship standings by a point heading into final eliminations after coming into the event trailing Steve Torrence by 12 points.
“It's just one point, and we could lose that one round tomorrow, so you can't get too overexcited about it,” she said. We have to stay humble, we have to stay focused. We want to go into raceday with our exact thought process coming into this race, one round at a time. That's how I look at it. And so that's how we're going into tomorrow, one round at a time. And we'll try to win this thing.
