A Total Smoke Show In Eldora As Tony Stewart Sweeps The Night At Eldora Speedway, Wins SRX On Dirt

Tony Stewart showed he was the dominant force at Eldora Speedway as the Camping World SRX Series rolled into town for the first of 2 races on the dirt


Stewart was dominantin both heat races and in the main event and captured the SRX Series first sweep of both heat races along with the feature.


Trailing the No. 14 to the checkered flag were Hailie Deegan and Ryan Newman. Bobby Labonte and Matt Kenseth rounded out the top five while many cars failed to finish the feature, a few didn't even make it to the feature after multiple cars were involved in a wrech just a handful of laps into the first heat race.


“Hailie Deegan is one hell of a dirt driver,” Stewart told ESPN. “If she gets to second there, she’s going to put pressure on. Just had to try to get some clean laps on restarts, get in a rhythm again and get going.


“… It’s awesome to win here at Eldora.”


Deegan, who was involved in the early accident was able to transition to a backup car and was Stewart’s closest competition.


The win is Stewart’s first of the 2023 SRX season.
